Chris 'Spike Edney' Phelps

The man in the shadows, but creating that iconic Queen sound

Chris is the classically trained, self professed, nerd of the band. Chris teaches music for a living and in addition to performing with Queenergy, he is very active as a conductor and arranger.

He first became familiar with the music of Queen, when he was the musical director of the smash hit musical show "we will rock you". From here he discovered his love for the music of Queen but admittedly he didn't think much of the plot of the show!

From this he came away thinking it would just be more fun to be part of a Queen tribute band.

Queenergy hasn't changed his mind about this.
